HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1986-229CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 21St day 10 of April , 1986. The following members were present: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, Sisk, Vasiliou and Zitur The following members were absent: none Councilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 86- 229 RESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT PROJECT NO. 609 47TH AVENUE - WEST OF TAMMIE MIDDLEMIST ADDITION WHEREAS, a contract has been let for the improvement of: 47th Avenue between Quinwood Lane and West Medicine Lake Drive by the installation of sanitary sewer and watermain laterals, trunk facilities, storm sewer, bituminous street with concrete curb and gutter, and all necessary appurtenances, and the contract price for such improvement is $76,722.85 and the expenses incurred or to be incurred in the making of said improvement amount to $12,225.10 so the total cost of the improvement will be $88,947.95 and of this cost the City will pay $ -0- as its share of the cost; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The cost of such improvement to be specially assessed is hereby declared to be $88,947.95 2. It is further determined that the following charges for sanitary sewer trunk facilities for the above referenced project shall be applied to the existing land use zoning. Sanitary Sewer Area Residential $ 720 per acre Watermain Area Residential $1,290 per acre 3. The City Clerk, with the assistance of the City Engineer, shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for such improvement against every assessable lot, pieca or parcel of land within the district affected without regard to cash valuation, as provided by law, and the Clerk shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection. 4. The Clerk shall, upon the completion of such proposed assessment, notify the Council thereof. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, _Sisk, Vasiliou and Zitur The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
