HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1986-225CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on tthhe 21St day of April , 1986. The following members were present: _ aynr S hn id r, Councilmemberc_ Crain, Sisk_ Vasiliou and Zitur The following members were absent: none Councilmpmber Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 86-225 APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVEP.TISEMENT FOR BIDS OLIVE LANE FROM COUNTY ROAD 6 TO 14TH AVENUE NORTH PROJECT NO. 542 WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the City Council on September 9, 1985 the City's Consulting Engineer, Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik 6 Associates, Inc., has prepared plans and specifications for improvement of Olive Lane from County Road 6 to 14th Avenue by the installation of 9 ton bituminous street with concrete curb and gutter, drainage improvements, sanitary sewer, watermain, concrete sidewalk and all necessary appurtenances; and WHEREAS, the Consulting Engineer has presented such plans and specifications to the City Council for their approval; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 10 PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in The Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for three days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Clerk until 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 15, 1986, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center building at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota, by the City Manager and the City Engineer and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or -ertified check payable to the City Clerk for five percent of the amount of such bid. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by _Councilmember Zitur and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: _ Mayor Schneider. Councilmembers Crain, Sisk. Vasiliou and Zitur The `ollowing voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
