HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1986-197CITY OF PLYNDM Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meetinq of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on t—Fe -7Th day of _April . 1986. The following members were present: Mayor Schnef- e—r, Counaimem�-ersyas3TFou, Sisk Crain and Zitur erollowing members were absent:- one Councilmember Sisk introduced the following Resolution and moved its ad—op t on: RESOLUTION NO. 86-197 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PRIVATE SALE OF A TAX FORFEIT PARCEL TO THE ADJACENT PRIVATE PROPERTY OWNER WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 85-990, the City Council authorized the public sale of a tax forfeit parcel identified as 25-118-22-11-0057; and WHEREAS, subsequently the City Council has been contacted by the property owner of parcel no. 25-118-22-11-0030, which is a homesteaded parcel lying immediately adjacent to the above-named tax forfeit parcel; and . WHEREAS, the property owner of parcel no. 25-118-22-11-0030 has expressed an interest In purt.hasing the tax forfeit parcel; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds tax forfeit parcel no. 25-118-22-11-0057 to be substandard from a building perspective owing to its dimensions of 35.2 ft. by 130 ft.; and WHEREAS, the law provides that such substandard parcels may be approved for private sale to the adjacent property owner; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, that it should and hereby does authorize the private sale of tax forfeit pracel 25-118-22-11-0057 to the adjacent private property owner for parcel no. 25-118-22-11-0030. The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember 71tur , and upon vote being taken tFereon, the following vote n favor t ereo : Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Vasiliou, Sisk Crain and Zitur The foLlowing voted against or a sta neNone Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
