HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1986-178Pursuant to due call and notice theteof, a Specie„ meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 31st day of March , 1986. The following members were present: JGyor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, Sisk, Vasiliou and Zitur The following members were absent: none Councilmember Vasiliou introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 86- 178 AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR INSURANCE FOR THE 1986/1987 INSURANCE PROGRAM WHEREAS, the City Council is aware of the problems besieging the insurance industry; and WHEREAS, effective at 12:00 Midnight on March 31, 1986 all current insurance policies will expire; and WHEREAS, the City has previously solicited quotes f -r the necessary iraurarce coverages; and WHEREAS, the City received a quotation from CNA Insurance Company at a cost of $247,764 and a quotation from the League of Cities Insurance Tr,ist at a cost of $273,344; and WHEREAS, the City Council concurs with the reco".!ndation of the Finance Director that the contract be awarded to CNA at a cost of $247,764 for the coverages and limitations set forth in the Finauce Director's memo dated March 31, 1986; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, that the City Council award the contract for all insurance coverages as indicated in the Finance Director's memo to CNA Insurance. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Mayor Schneider , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted 77=r thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, Sisk, Vasiliou and Zitur The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. arrt +►yt* +e*
