S The following members were present: Mayor c net er, Counct mem ers rain, — Sisk, Zitur and Vasil;ou The following members were absent: none Mayor Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 86- 157 AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF CITY OF PLYMOUTH GRANT APPLICATION TO HENNEPiN COUNTY FOR INCLUSION IN URBAN HENNEPIN COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT APPLICATION FOR FUNDING YEAR :;II. WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has executed a point Powers Agreement with Hennepin County thereby agreeing to participate in a grant application under the Urban County designation provided for in the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974; and, WHEREAS, a grant application has been prepared requesting funds to undertake a Communi- ty Development Program, including appropriate ci'izen participation, goals established, and implementation plans and procedures; and, . WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Authority held a Public Hearing on March 10, 1986 regarding the expenditure of the Year XII funds for the City of Plymouth and has recommended several projects for expenditure of said funds; and, WHEREAS, Lite CiLy Cuuiicii rias ievi6-wed the recommendations of the Housing and Redevel- opment Authority and of the City staff regarding the proposed activities and program amounts for Year XII; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MIN- NESOTA, that it should and hereby does direct the administrative staff to prepare and submit the necessary application for the City of Plymouth Year XII participation in the Housing and Community Development Plans and Programs for expenditure on the followinq projects in the respective proposed dollar amounts: Housing Rehabilitation Grant Program $74,197.00 (75%) Senior Citizen Housing Site Planning and Preparation 5,000.00 ( 5%) Child Care Assistance Payment Program 20,000.00 (20%) Total $99,197.00 The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:Mayor c netder, Councilmembers Crain, Sisk and Zitur 'Following voted against or abstained: COURC11member Vasiliou Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
