Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 17th day of March 1986.
The following members were present:Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, Sisk, —_
Vagi inn and Zitur The
following members were absent: none
Councilmember Crain introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 86-148
AMENDING COMPREHENSIVE PLAN BY ADOPTION OF REVISED HOUSING ELEMENT
WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan was updated and adopted by the City Council in 1980 and
contains an Element known as the Housing Element; and,
WHEREAS, since 1980, the City Council has r+irected the Planning Commission to review
and recommend revisions deemed necessary to assure that this basic Element of the
Comprehensive Plan is both current and meaningful to the community; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission and the Housing and Redevelopment Authority have
reviewed the Housing Element, and the Planning Commission, following the Public Hearing
on February 26, 1986 has recommended approval of a revised Housing Element; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council and the Planning Commission have discussed the revised
Housing Element in terms of the City's Goals, Objectives, and Criteria;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does amend the City's Comprehensive Plan by
adopting the Revised Housing Element per the draft reviewed by and subject to the
recommendations of the Planning Commission at its February 26, 1986 meeting;
FURTHER, be it hereby resolved that the copies of the adopted Element shall be
distributed to the Metropolitan Council and to other agencies who have copies of the
City's Comprehensive Plan; and,
FURTHER, be it hereby resolved that approval is contingent upon and subject to the
required review and response by the Metropolitan Council.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Vasiliou , and upon vote being taken thereon, the follow—Ing

Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
