HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1986-120CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 24th day Of FPhruary , 1986. The following members were present: The following members were absent: nonp CnuncilmPmhPr Crain introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 86-120 REDEFERRING ASSESSMENTS ESTABLISHED BY RESOLUTION 80-744 AND LEVIED BY RESOLUTION 85-934 WHEREAS, in accordance with City Policy certain parcels of homestead land were assessed at a residential rate with the remainder of the assessment deferred at the established rate; and WHEREAS, said deferrment applied to P.I.N. No. 17-118-22-14-0006 as established by Resolution No. 80-744; and WHEREAS, this deferred assessment expired at the end of 1985 and was relevied by Resolution No. 85-934; and WHEREAS, the City Council has now determined that said assessment shall be redeferred for a period of ten years. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA That the assessment as it applies to P.I.N. No. 17-118-22-14-0006 as established by Resolution No. 85-934 in the amount of $26,950.58 is redeferred for a ten year period beginning January 1, 1986 at the established interest rate of 82. FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED, that if the property is not used by the owner for their homestead, further subdivided during the ten year period, the deferred assessment shall become payable in full. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Sisk , and upon vote being taken thereon,the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, Sisk, Vasiliou and Zitur The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. ikki t *
