Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of
. the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 3rd day of February , 19Ak•
The following members were present: Mayor Schneider. Councilmembers Crain. Sisk.
Vasiliou and Zitur
The following members were absent: none
Councilmember Vasiliou introduced the following Resolution and mo%ed its
adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 86- 72
APPROVAL FOR SIGNAGE PROGRAM AND VARIANCE FOR OPUS CORPORATION (85125)
WHEREAS, Opus Corporation has requested approval of a Sign Program and Variance to
allow for individual freestanding tenant signs in lieu of wall signage for their
proposed development east of Niagara Lane and north of 28th Avenue North; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called public
Informational hearing;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MIN-
NESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request by Opus Corporation for a
Sign Plan and Variance, subject to the following conditions:
1. The size of the sign shall be 5 112 ft. in height, shall be uniform in color, the
sign face shall be 3 ft. by 3 ft., and 2 ft. off the ground.
2. Appropriate legal covenants shall be submitted establishing the sign program for
the two separate parcels; approved by the City Attorney and filed on the two
properties.
3. Approved Variance allows individual freestanding tenant signs in -lieu of wall
signage considering the size of the project which includes a complete sign
program; the proposal represents a new concept and provides a unique design to fit
the proposed development.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Sisk , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof:Mayor Schneider, Councilmenbers Crain, Sisk,
Vasiliou and Zitur
The following voted against or abstained: none
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
