Pursuant to due tail and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of
the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 13th da of January 19 86,
The following members were present: Mayor Schneider, couTnci members Crain,
Sisk and Vasiliou
The following members were absent: none
Councilmember Crain introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 86- 48
A RESOLUTION REVISING PLYMOUTH PERSONNEL POLICY
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth Personnel Policy establishes responsibilities for the
City and its employees; and
WHEREAS, the existing Personnel Policy was adopted July 15, 1985 by Resolution No.
85-542; and
WHEREAS, the Personnel Policy sets forth the dates of official City holidays: and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes Section 645.44, Subd. 5 provides that Martin Luther Kino
Day, the third Monday in January, is an official holiday and that no public business
shall be transacted on any holiday;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Plymouth,
Minnesota, that it should and hereby does revise Section 3-5.1 of the City Personnel
Policy dated July 15, 1985 by the addition of Martin Luther King Day, the third
Monday in January, as an official holiday for permanent and probationary full time
City employees covered by the policy.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Vasiliou 'and upon vote being tak n thereon, the
following vote n favor t ereo ayor c neider, Councilmembers Crain,
Sisk and V7siliou
The following voted against or abstained:
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly —passed and adopted.
