HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1986-006CITY OF PLYMOUTH ORDINANCE NO. 86-06 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE TO CLASSIFY CERTAIN LANDS OF RPUD 86-1 LOCATED WEST OF I-494 AND NORTH AND SOUTH OF COUNTY ROAD 47 AS R -1A (LOW DENSITY SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL), R-2 (LOW DENSITY MULTIPLE RESIDENCE), AND R-3 (MEDIUM DENSITY MULTIPLE RESIDENCE) DISTRICTS Section 1. Amendment of Ordinance. Ordinance 80-9 of the City of Plymouth, Min- nesota, adopted dune 15, 1980 as amended, is hereby amended by changing the classifica- tion on the City of Plymouth Zoning Map from FRD (future restricted development) District to R -1A (low density single family residential), R-2 (low density multiple residence), and R-3 (medium density multiple residence) Districts with respect to the hereinafter described property: The Northwest Quarter (NW1/4) of Section 3, Township 118, Range 22, Hennepin County, Minnesota, except that portion of the Southwest Quarter of said Northwest Quarter (SW1/4, NW1/4) described as commencing at a point where the south line of County Road No. 47 intersects the west line of said Section 3; thence easterly along the south line of said County Road No. 47 a distance of 500.00 feet to the actual point of beginning; thence deflecting to the right 132'00100" for a dis- tance of 110.00 feet; thence deflecting to the left 90'00100" a distance of 212.06 feet, more or less, to the shore line of an unmeandered lake; thence northeasterly along said shore line to a point on the south line of said County Road 47 distant 337.76 feet easterly from the point of beginning; thence westerly 337.76 feet along said south line to the point of beginning. Also except that part of the Southeast Quarter of said Northwest Quarter (SEI/4, HWI/4) of said Section 3 des- cribed as follows: beginning at the southeast corner of said Southeast quarter of the Northwest Quarter; thence on an assumed bearing of West along the south line of said SE1/4, NW1/4 a distance of 1073.00 feet; thence North 16000100" East 353.70 feet; thence East to the east line of said SEI/4, NW1/4; thence South along said east line to the, point of beginning; and, That part of the West half of the Northeast Quarter (NE1/4) of Section 3, Township 118 North, Range 22 West of the fifth principal meridian lying north of the center line of County Road 47 and lying westerly of Interstate Highway 494; and, Except Interstate Highway No. 494; and, Except County Road No. 47. Section 2. General Development Plan. This Ordinance authorizes the development of said property only in accordance with the approved Planned Unit RPUD 86-1 (85114) subject to the plat and site plan approvals. Section 3. Effective Date, This Ordinance shall take effect upon the filing of the Final Plat with Hennepin ounty. The following members were present: Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Sisk. Crain and Vasiliou The following members were absent:_ none Councilmember Vasiliou introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 86-06 APPROVING LOT DIVISION AND VARIANCE FOR VISION BUILDERS, INC. FOR LOTS IN PLYMOUTH CREEKVIEW 2ND ADDITION (85122) WHEREAS, Merrill Paulson, Vision Builders, Iic. has requested approval for Lot Division and Variance for Lot 2, Block 1, Plymouth Creekview 2nd Addition located at 2500 and 2510 Teakwood Lane; an-, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission reviewed the proposal at their regular scheduled meet- ing and recommended approval; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MIN- NESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the following: EXISTING LEGAL DESCRIPTION Lot 2, Block 1, PLYMOUTH CREEKVIEW 2ND ADDITION, Hennepin County, Minnesota PARCEL A: That part of Lot 2, Block 1, PLYMOUTH CREEKVIEW 2ND ADDITION, City of Plymouth, Hennepin County, Minnesota, lying northerly of a line drawn from a point on the west line of said Lot 2 distant 62.49 feet south of the northwest corner thereof to a point on the east line of said Lot 2 distant 62.20 feet south of the: north- east corner thereof and reserving easements of records. PARCEL B: That part of Lot 2, Block 1, PLYMOUTH CREEkVIEW 2ND ADDITION, City of Plymouth, Hennepin County, Minnesota, lying southerly of a line drawn from a point on the west line of said Lot 2 distant 62.49 feet south of the northwest corner thereof to a point on the east line of said Lot 2 distant 62.20 feet south of the north- east corner thereof and reserving easements of record. FURTHER, that the City Manager be authorized to make the necessary special assessment corrections based upon City Policy when the division is approved by Hennepin County. The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Crain , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mavor Schne;der.
