Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Regular meeting of the City
Council of the CiEy of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 16th day
of December , 1985. The following members were present:

The following members were absent: Councilmemher Vasiliou
Cnuncilmemher Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 85- 997
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF
FOUR 1986 MODEL POLICE PATROL VEHICLES
WHEREAS, the 1986 Central Equipment Budget contemplates the purchase of police
patrol vehicles; and
WHEREAS, on November 14, 1985 pursuant to State Statute, the Hennepin County
Cooperative Purchasing Group received and publicly read aloud sealed bids for
the purchase of mid and full size police patrol vehicles under Hennepin County
Contract No. 6502A; and
WHEREAS, the Hennepin County Board, upon recommendation of the County
Purchasing Manager, has awarded this bid to the lowest responsible bidder
Viking Southdale Ford.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That it should and hereby does authorize the purchase of
four police full size patrol vehicles from Viking Southdale Ford under the
conditions and specifications of Hennepin County, Contract No. 6502A
FURTHER, "iat the City Manager is hereby authorized to issue a purchase order
in an amount not to exceed $44,800 from Account No. 602-531-921 for the
purchase of these vehicles.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmemher Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Davenport_ Ccuncilmemhers
' Crain_ Neils and Schneider
The following voted against or abstained: nnne
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
