Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 18th day of
November , 1985. The following members were present: ayor Davenport,
Councilmembers Crain, Neils, Schneider and Vasiliou
The following members were absent: none
Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 85- 923
REQUESTING HENNEPIN COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO
CONDUCT SPEED STUDIES
COUNTY ROAD 61 - HIGHWAY 55 TO SOUTH CITY LIMITS
WHEREAS, In November 1985 the City of Plymouth completed construction and
opened to traffic the southerly portion of County Road 61; and
WHEREAS, It is necessary to determine the proper speed limit for this street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, that the City requests the Hennepin County Department of Trans-
portation to make a request to the Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of
Transportation to undertake an engineering study to determine a safe and
reasonable speed on County Road 61 from Highway 55 on the north to the south
Plymouth City limits.
The notion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
_Councilmember Crain , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Davenport, Counrilmembors rain$ Nom:
Schneider and Vasiliou
The following voted against or abstained:. none
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
