Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 4th day of
November , 1985. The following members were present: a—yor-6avenport,
Councilmembers Neils, Schneider, Crain and Vasiliou
The following members were absent: none
Councilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 85- 908
APPROVING CONNECTION TO CITY SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM
FORESTER'S MEAT PACKING COMPANY
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has received a request from Forester's Meat
Packing Company to connect to the City's sanitary sewer system; and
WHEREAS, this request has been reviewed by the City staff and approval is
recommended subject to several conditions;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That a connection to the City's sanitary sewer system is
approved for Forester's Meat Packing Company subject to compliance with the
following conditions:
1. The existing public sanitary sewer be extended to the southerly
right-of-way line of New County Road 9. Plans for this extension must
. be submitted and approved by the City Engineer and the plans are to be
in conformance with standard City specifications and with Hennepin
County plans for New County Road 9.
2. Forester's shall obtain the necessary industrial discharge permit from
the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission and comply with the conditions
of that permit.
3. The owner shall obtain the required sewer permit from the building
department and pay the appropriate fees.
4. A grease and oil trap must be installed so as to eliminate any grease or
oil entering the City sanitary sewer system.
5. The existing sewage lagoons shall be drained and filled so they will not
act as ponding areas. This work is to be done in c:.aformance with
Minnesota Pollution Control standards.
6. The City will pay for one half the additional cost to change the 6"
private line to an 8" public sewer including one manhole, which cost to
the City shall not exceed $1,000.00. This cost shall be paid from the
Utility Trunk Fund.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Schneider , and upon vote b3ing taken thereon, the
. following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Neils,
Schneider, Crain and Vasiliou
The following voted against or abstained: none
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
