HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1985-840CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a rpq,,lar meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the day of �19Mr. The following members were present: Mayor Davenport, ouncilmembers ra n, Neils, Schneider and Vasiliou . The following members were absent: none �f Councilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 85-840 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR REPAIR AND REHABILITATION OF SINGLE FAMILY HOMES AT 1500 AND 1510 GLACIER LANE WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the repair and rehabilitation of two single family homes in the Glacier Meadows Development south of County Road 6 and east of Glacier Lane, bids were received, opened, and tabulated according to law and applic- able regulations and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Name Total Bid Homecare, Inc. $32,137.00 Morcon, Inc. $58,677.00 and, WHEREAS, it appears that Homecare, Inc. of Bloomington, Minnesota is the lowest respon- sible bidder; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY TIDE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MIN- NESOTA, that: 1. The Mayor and City Manager a -e hereby authorized and directed to enter into the contract with Homecare, Inc. of Bloomington, Minnesota in the name of the City of Plymouth and for the City of Plymouth Housing and Redevelopment Auth- ority for the repair and rehabilitation of two single family homes at 1500 and 1510 Glacier Lane, according to the plans and specifications therefor, for the low bid of $32,137.00. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except the deposits of the success- ful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until the contract has been signed. 3. The funds expended shall he warranted through the Urban Hennepin County under Community Development Block Grant funding activities for Scattered Site Hous- ing Development and administration and execL-tion of this contract shall be in accordance with applicable regulations. The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Vasiliou , and upon vote being taken thereon, the fol owing voted in favor thereof: Mayor Davenport. Councilmembers Crain, Meils. Schneider and Vasiliou The following voted against or abstained nnnP Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
