HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1985-817Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 7th day of October , 1985. The following members were present: Mayor Davenport, ounce mem ers RJeils, Schneider, Crain and Vasiliou The following members were absent: none * #714 Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 85- 817 AWARDING DID FOR THREE (3) CIVIL DEFENSE SIRENS WHEREAS, funds have been appropriated for the purchase and installation of three (3) civil defense sirens; and WHEREAS, the following bids were received: BIDDER TOTAL INSTALLED COST Rillmer Electric Co. Inc. $ 21,693.00 Toemy's Firehouse Astociates 23,773.60 WHEREAS, the bid of [illmer Electric Co. Inc. does not conform with city specifications in the following areas: a. motor horsepower b. single motor c. stator and rotor d. cannot be guaranteed at 70 DB at 4800 feet without the addition of auzillery equipment not contemplated on the bid proposal, and, WHEREAS, because of said deficiencies the bid of Rillmer Electric Company, Inc. is not a responsible bid conforming to the City's requirements, and; WHEREAS, the bid of Tommy's Firehouse Associates substantially conforms with City specifications for the civil defense sirens; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does accept the proposal of Tommy's Firehouse Associates in the amount of $23,773.60, further that funds for this proposal are authorized from account numbers 101-161-921.00 and 205-205-921.00. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Crain , and upon vote being taken thereon, the followin,g voted in favor thereof: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Neils, Schneider, Crain and Vasiliou The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. .
