HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1985-793CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 7th day of 0ctnhpr , 1985. The following members were present: Mayor Davenport, CnunrilmPmharc Crain_ Neils. Schneider and Vasiliou The following members were absent: none CnuncilmPmhPr Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 85-793 ADOPTING ASSESSMENT 1984 WEED ERADICATION AND DESTRUCTION 1985 WEED ERADICATION AND DESTRUCTION WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the Council has met and heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessments for 1984 and 1985 weed eradication and destruction charges as provided for by the City Ordinances and has amended such proposed assessment as it deems just; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. Such proposed assessment, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part thereof, is hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against the land named therein and each tract of land herein included is hereby bound to be benefited by the amount of the assessment levied against it. go 2. Such assessments shall be payable over a period of one year. 3. Assessments may be paid in full to the City of Plymouth Finance Director by November 7, 1985 without additional charge. After November 7, 1985 a daily interest charge based on an annual rate of 9.36% starting on October 7, 1985 will be due in addition to the levied assessment. The last date a payment can be accepted by the City of Plymouth is November 15, 1985. After that date interest shall be added from the date of this resolution until December 31, 1986 and payment can only be made to Hennepin County with your 1986 property taxes. 4. The Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to the County Finance Director to be extended on the proper tax lists of the County and such assessments shall be collected and paid over the same manner as other municipal taxes. 5. The total cost of the 1984 and 1985 weed eradication and destruction charges assessed by this resolution are $6,456.20. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by fniinrilmnmhPr Crain 'and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Plavor Daygnaort. Councilmembers Crain, Ghnaidpr_ and Vasi 1 inu The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
