HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1985-769ACITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Special meeting of the Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 23rd day of September , 1985. The following members were present: _ The following members were absent: Mayor Davenport City Councilmember Crain introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 85- 769A DECLARING ADEQUACY OF PETITION AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF REPORT STREET LIGHTING - DEERWOOD ESTATES 4TH ADDITION WHEREAS, a petition has been received from Parklands Development Company requesting installation of ornamental residential street lighting in the Deerwood Estates 4th Addition. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. A certain petition requesting the improvement of Deerwood Estates 4th Addition by the installation of ornamental residential street lighting, filed with the City Council on September 23, 1985 is hereby declared to be signed by the required percentage of owners of property affected thereby. This declaration is made in conformance to Minnesota Statutes Section 429.035. 2. The petition is signed by 100% of the affected property owners and they have waived their rights to public improvement and spescial assessment hearings. 3. The petition is hereby referred to the City Engineer and he is instructed to report to the Council with all convenient speed advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement is feasible and as to whether it should best be made as proposed or in conjunct -"on with some other improvement and the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by COuncilmember Neils 'and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: _ Dewy Mayor Schneider_ Councilmembers Crain.
