Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Special meeting of the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 23rd day of
September 1985. The following members were present: DQput; Wayor
The following members were absent: *&yor Davenport
Councilmeriber Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 85- 732
ORDERING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
WELL NO. 8 AND NO. 9
CITY PROJECT NO. 431
WHEREAS, the City has received reports on a water system analysis and water
supply expansion alternatives for the City's water system; and
WHEREAS, it is recommended that an alternate water suppy be developed at a
location other than the central well field; and
WHEREAS, a feasible location for an alternate well field is at Plymouth Creek
Park presently owned by the City of Plymouth; and
WHEREAS, it is recommended that the City continue to supply water from the
Prairie du Chien -Jordon aquifer; and
WHEREAS, further detailed study and investigation is necessary to determine
expansion of the existing treatment facilities or construction of separate
treatment facilities at the Plymouth Creek site.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik and Associates, Inc. are directed
to prepare plans and specifications for the drilling of two
municipal production wells into the Prairie du Chien -Jordon
aquifer at the Plymouth Creek site. Specifications should
include one well developed and tested prior to beginning the
second well.
2. That the City staff be directed to receive proposals from
Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik and Associates, Inc. and Tolts,
Ring, Duval, Anderson, Inc., who have previously prepared the
analysis of the City's water system, for a further feasibility
report to analyze treatment, storage and distribution
associated with the two new wells.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Crain , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Deputy Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers
Crain, Neils and Vasiliou
The following voted against or abstained: none
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
