HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1985-724CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 16th day of September , 1985. The following members were present: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers: Neils, Vasiliou, Schneider and Crain The following members were absent: _none Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 85- 724 ORDERING PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED VACATION OF SIGHT EASEMENT LOT 1, BLOCK 1, PALMER CREEK ESTATES WHEREAS, pursuant to M.S.A. 412.851, Cal Darth, has petitioned the City Council for the vacat'.on of the following sight easement: A perpetual easement for sight distance purposes over and across that portion of the following described parcel: The west 33 feet of the North 285 feet of the SE 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 11, Township 118, Range 22, except the west 16.5 feet thereof now dedicated for street purposes and except railroad right of way, together with an easement for sight purposes only over the foll-wing described portion of said Section 11: Commencing at a point along the southerly right of way line of the Minneapolis, Paul and Sault Ste. Marie railway distant 33 feet east of the intersection of said right of way line with the west line of the 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of said Section 11; thence south along a line parallel to the went line of the SE 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of said ' Section 11 a distance of 150 feet; thence northeasterly on a straight line to a point in said southerly right of way line St. SE distance 150 feet east of the point of beginning; thence west along said southerly right of way line to the point of beginning. AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed said request and found the same to be in order; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH that it should, and hereby does, establish the date of October 21, 1985 at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Plymouth City Center, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, as the time nd place for the public hearing of said petition and directs the administrative staff to publish notice of said hearing as provided by law. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Vasiliou , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers: Neils, Vasiliou, Schneider and Crain The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
