HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1985-709CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 9th day of September , 1985. The following members were present: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Neils. Schneider, Crain and Vasiliou The following members were absent: none Mayor Davenport introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 85- 709 AUTHORIZING THE FUNDING OF A STUDY ON ELM CREEK TO BE CONDUCTED BY THE ELM CREEK WATERSHED MANAGEMENT COMMISSION WHEREAS, in June 1985 the Plymouth City Council petitioned the Elm Creek Watershed Management Commission for an improvement on Elm Creek; and WHEREAS, the purpose of the improvement would be to reduce the water levels along Elm Creek southerly of County Road 47; and WHEREAS, the Commission has stated that an engineering study is necessary in order to determine the improvements as requested by the City of Plymouth; and WHEREAS, the cost of said study is estimated not to exceed $6,000; and WHEREAS, the City of Maple Grove will also be participating in the study since the improvement area is within both the City of Plymouth and the City of Maple Grove. 10 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, that an expenditure of up to $3,000 for one half the cost of the study is authorized to reimburse the Elm Creek Watershed Commission for said study. FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED, that the funds for said study are allocated from the Elm Creek Watershed fund (216-216-000) The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Crain , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Neils, Schneider, Crain and Vasiliou The following voted against or absr_ained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
