HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1985-698CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 9th day of Se ember , 1985. The following members were presensyor Davenport, Councimem erg ei s, Schneider, Crain and Vasiliou The following members were absent: none Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 85- 698 RESOLUTION FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT 1985 WEED ERADICATION AND DESTRUCTION CHARGES, ROLL 1 AND 2 WHEREAS, by a resolution pa3sed by the Council on September 9, 1985 the City Clerk was directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the total cost for the destruction and eradication of noxious weeds on certain lands within the City as provided by law; and WHEREAS, the Clerk has notified the Council that such proposed assessment has been completed and filed in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. A public hearing shall be held on the 7th day of October, 1985 in the City Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minr:esota at 7:30 p.m. to pass upon such proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property affected will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessment. 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing and shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. The Clerk shall also cause sailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Vasiliou , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Neils, Schneider, Crain and Vasiliou . The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. r
