HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1985-678CITY OF PLYMOM Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 9th day of September , 19 85. The following members were present: Mayor Davenport, Counci mem ers Neils, Schneider, Crain & Vasiliou The following ambers were absent: none Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 85- 673 RESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT PROJECT NO. 501 GLEN ECHO PONDS 2ND ADDITION AND ADJACENT AREA WHEREAS, a contract has been let for the improvement of: 15th Avenue West of Pineview Lane, Rosewood Lane, South of 15th Avenue and 450 feet M.O,L. of Sycamore Lane, South of 15th Avenue by the installation of sanitary sewer and watermain laterals, storm sewer, bituminous street with concrete curb and gutter, and all necessary appurtenances; and the contract price for such improvement is $141,163.54 and the expenses incurred or to be incurred in the making of said improvement 10 amount to $28,566.22 so the total cost of the improvement will be $169,729.76 and of this cost the City will pay $4501.75 as its share of the cost; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The cost of such improvement to be specially assessed is hereby declared to be $165,228.61 2. It is further determined that the following charges for water trunk main, pumping and storage facilities for the above referenced project shall be applied to the existing land use zoning. Water Area Residential $1290.00 per acTe 3. The City Clerk, with the assistance of the City Engineer, shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for such improvement against every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land within the district affected withcut regard to cash valuation, as provided by law, and the Clerk shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection. 4. The Clerk shall, upon the completion of such proposed assessment, notify the Cou cil there f. The motion nfor the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Vasiliou , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Neils, Schneider, Crain and Vasiliou The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passe a a opte .
