Pursuant to due call and notice thereof; a special meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on t e 12th
day of August , 1985. The folowing members were present: Mayor�avneport,
Councilmembers Neils Schneider and Vasiliou The following members
were absent: Councilmember Crain

RES NO. 85-566
PROCLAIMING AUGUST 13, 1985 "NIGHT OUT" FOR THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH
WHEREAS, the National Town Watch Association is sponsoring a special coast-to-
coast community crime prevention project on the evening of August 13, 1985
called "National Night Out"; and
WF]EREAS, the Plymouth Crime Prevention Fund plays an essential role assisting
the Plymouth Police Department through it's cooperative crime prevention efforts
in Plymouth, Minnesota and is supporting "National Night Out" locally; and
WHEREAS, it is important that all citizens in Plymouth, Minnesota be aware of
the importance of crime prevention programs and the positive impact that their
participation can have on reducing crime in our neighborhoods; and
WHEREAS, "National Night Out" provides an opportunity for Plymouth, Minnesota
to join together with hundreds of other communities across the country in support
of safer neighborhoods and to demonstrate the success of cooperative crime
prevention efforts; and
WHEREAS, neighborhood spirit and cooperation is the theme of the "National
Night Out" project and is also the key ingredient in helping the Plymouth
Police Department to fight crime;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY OMMIL OF THE CITY OF
PLV4XMf, MIN+8r.90TA , do hereby call upon all citizens of Plymouth, Minnesota
to join the Plymouth Crime Prevention Fund and the National Town Watch
Association in supporting and participating in "National Night Out" on
August 13, 1985.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of Plymouth do hereby proclaim
Tuesday, August 13, 1985 as 'TIATIONAL NIGHT OUf" in Plymouth, Minnesota.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor there -OU" Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Neils.
