Pursuant to due call and notice tLar-of, a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held oW the 15th day
of x , 1985. The following members were present: Deputy Mayor
3c neider,Councilmembers Neils, Crain and Vasiliou
The following members were absent: Mayor uavenport
Councilmember Crain introduced the following Resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 85-502
AUTHORIZING THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF WEST MEDICINE LAKE DRIVt; IN
SECTION 23, TOWNSHIP 118, RANGE 22
WHEREAS, the petition to vacate a portion of West Medicine Lake Drive was
received by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing with respect to said vacation was scheduled for July
15, 1985 in accordance with Minnesota Statutes 412.851 as amended; and
WHEREAS, a notice of publication of said hearing was published and posted two
weeks prior to the meeting of July 15, 1985; and
WHEREAS, the Council did hold a public hearing on July 15, 1985 to inform any
and all interested parties relevant to the vacation of said West Medicine Lake
Drive; and
WHEREAS, it was determined by the City Council that a portion of West Medicine
Lake Drive as described below is not needed for a public street;
' NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA as follows:
1. That that part of West Medicine Lake Drive described below is hereby
vacated:
Vacation of road after plat is filed
That part of West Medicine Lake Drive, also known as County No. 154,
which lies within Outlot D, Plymouth Parkview, Hennepin County,
Minnesota.
Vacation of road before plat is filed.
That part of West Medicine Lake Drive, also known as County Road 154,
lying in the southeast 1/4 of the northeast 1/4 of Section 22,
Township 118, Range 22, Hennepin County, Minnesota; and
That part of West Medicine Lake Drive, also known as County Road 154,
lying in the west 21.00 feet of Government Lot 5, Section 23, Township
118, Range 22, Hennepin County, Minnesota
2. That said vacation shall not affect the authority of any person,
corporation or municipality owning or controlling the electric or
telephone poles and lines, gas and sewer lines, or water lines, mains
and hyrdrants thereon or thereunder, to continue maintaining the same,
or to enter upon such way or portion thereof vacated to repair,
replace, remove otherwise attend thereto.

3. That the City of Plymouth reserves easement rights for utility purpose
over and across said vacated street.
4. The vacation shall not be filed until after the final plat of Plymouth
Parkview is filed at Hennepin County.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Deputy Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers
Neils, Crain and Vasiliou
The following voted against or abstained: none
