HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1985-495CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 1st day of July , 1185. The following members were present: Deputy Mayor Schneider, CounriTmembers Neils, Crain and Vasiliou The following members were absent: Mayor Davenport Councilmember Crain introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 85- 495 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID 45TH/46TH AVENUE - UTILITY AND STREET IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT NO. 225 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 45th/46th Avenue Street and Utility Improvement, Project No. 225 and 517; and WHEREAS, the developer of Project 517, Revere Lane South of 45th Avenue have not posted the financial guarantee and therefore the project will not be awarded, WHEREAS, bids were received, opened and tablulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: AND, WHEREAS, it appears that Northdale Construction Company of Rogers, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder in the amount of $515,004.50 for Project 225 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH: 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Northdale Construction Company in the name of the City of Plymouth for the construction of Project 225 in the amount of $515,004.50. 2. Project 517 will not be awarded because the developer did not post the required financial guarantee. 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until the contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Neils and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Deputy Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Neils, Crain and Vasiliou The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
