Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 7th day of June . 19 85 The following members were present: Deputy Mayor, c77neider, Counci mem ers rain, Neils and Vasiliou The following members were absent: Mayor Davenport Councilmember Vasiliou introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 85-457 AUTHORIZING ACQUISITION OF TWO HOUSES IN COUNTY ROAD 61 PROSECT AREA BY THE HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (HRA) AND IMPROVEMENTS RELATED TO RELOCATION TO GLACIER MEADOWS ADDITION WHEREAS, as part of the street right-of-way acquisition for the County Road 61 improve- ments, Project 216, it was necessary to acquire the houses at 13304 Arthur Street and 250 County Road 61 in the City of Minnetonka; and, WHEREAS, the acquisition and removal of the houses was contemplated in the bid and contract for this project which has been awarded to the firm, Bury & Carlson; and, WHEREAS, the Plymouth Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA), another governmental unit, has expressed interest in the acquisition of both houses for purposes of relocat- ing them to the Glacier Meadows Addition which has been developed under the Scattered Site Housing Program approved by the City with the utilization of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds; and, WHEREAS, the houses have a determined value with regard to relocation of $19,000.00; and, WHEREAS, the Plymouth HRA has reviewed the proposed acquisition in conjunction with completing the development of the Glacier Meadows Addition and has determined that these activities should be undertaken utilizing CDBG funds; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MIN- NESOTA, that the houses at 13304 Arthur Street and 250 County Road 61 in the City of Minnetonka be authorized for sale through the firm Bury & Carlson, to the Plymouth Housinc dr,d Redevelopment Authority in the amount of $19,000.00; FURTHER+ .t the Plymouth Housing and Redevelopment Authority is responsible for the movir'q ',f he houses and all costs associated with the move to Lots 2 and 3, Glacier Meadow, aadition, as well as for the site preparation and the improvement to the houses required for Code compliance, as set forth in Housing and Redevelopment Authority Reso- lution No. 85-03 adopted May 6, 1985. The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Crain , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: y v u yor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, Neils and Vasiliou The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
