HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1985-456CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 17th June , 1985. The following members were present: Deputy ayor, chneider, Councilmembers Crain, Neils and Vasilio The following members were absent: Mayor avenport of the City _ day of Councilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 85-456 PETITION TO ELMCREEK WATERSHED MANAGEMENT COMMISSION FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT WHEREAS, THE City of PlymouLh has received a request for an Improvement Project on Elm Creek from a property owner within the City of Plymouth; and WHEREAS, the purpose of the improvement would be to reduce water levels along Elm Creek southerly of County Road 47; and WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth is a member of the Elm Creek Watershed Management Commission, a joint and cooperative organization formed by the member commu- nities to plan, protect and manage the Elm Creek Watershed; and WHEREAS, the Commission has the authority to undertake Improvement Projects on Elm Creek. 1p NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY qE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: that the administrative staff is directed to submit a petition to the Elm Creek Watershed Management Commission requesting that an improvement Project be undertaken to reduce the water levels southerly of County Road 47. The petition is to be submitted in accordance with Section 4 of the Agreement forming the Commission The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Crain , and upon vote being taken thereon, the foiiowing voted in favor thereof: Deputy Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, Neils and Vasiliou The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
