HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1985-447CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnescta was held on the 17th day of June , 1985. The following members were present: Deputy Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, Neils and Vasiliou The following members were absent: Mayor Davenport Councilmember Vasiliou introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 85- 447 RESGLUTION ACCEPTING BID PROJECT NO. 426 - CARLSON CENTER THIRD ADDITION AND ADJACENT AREA STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of Carlson Center Third Addition and the adjacent streets of Zinnia Lane, Berkshire Lane and County Roads 15 by the installation of % ton bituminous street with concrete curb and gutter, drainage facilities, sanitary sewer, watermain and all necessary appurtenances, bids were received, opened and tabulated acscording to the law and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Company Bury & Carlson, Inc. C.S. McCrossan, Inc. Alexander Construction, Orfei 6 Sons, Inc. Hennen Construction Co. Nodland Associates, Inc. Northdale Construction, Progressive Contractors, Northwest Asphalt, Inc. Barbarossa & Sons, Inc. Buesing Brothers, Inc. G.L. Contracting, Inc. Inc. Inc. Inc. Total Bid $353,818.07 354,895.12 355,277.32 355,534.51 359,898.20 364,852.95 369,118.80 373,416.50 391,754.21 387,370.00 414,884.08 431,931.06 AND, WHEREAS, it appears that Bury b Carlson of Minneapolis, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH: 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Bury & Carlson, Inc. of Minneapolis, Minnesota in the name of the City of Plymouth for the improvement of Carlson Center Third Addition and the adjacent streets of Zinnia Lane, Berkshire Lane and County Road 15 by the installation of 7 ton bituminous street with concrete curb and gutter, drainage facilities, sanitary sewer and watermain and all necessary appurtenances, according to the plans and specifications, therefore, approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk for the low bid of $353,818.07 C7 Resolution No. 85- 447 Page Two 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next low:it bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Crain , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Deputy Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, Neils and Vasiliou The following voted against or abstained: none _ Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
