HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1985-446CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a PEdular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 17th day of June , 1985. The following members were present: Deputy Mayor Schneider, .oun-ilmembers Crain Neils and Vasiliou The following members were absent: Mayor Davenport Cnuncilmemher Vasiliou introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 85-446 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FIRE STATION NO. 1 AND NO. 2 FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEMS WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the installation of the Fire Sprinkler Systems at Fire Station No. 1 and No. 2. WHEREAS, bids were received, opened and tablulated according to law, and the folloving bids were received complying with the advertisement: Company Total Bid Midwest Fire Protection, Inc. $ 38,530 Eagle Fire Protection Company 44,630 New Mech Companies 43,100 AND, WHEREAS, it appears that Midwest Fire Protection, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder; 1bNOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH: 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Midwest Fire Protection, Inc. in the name of the City of Plymouth for the installation of Fire Sprinkler Systems at Fire Station No. 1 and No. 2 in the amount of $38,530. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successcul bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Cnijnrilmamhar Crain , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Deputy Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, Nailc and Vasiliou The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
