Councilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 85-349
RESOLUTION CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ADOPTION OF .A TAX INCREMENT
FINANCING PLAN FOR AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT TAX
INCREMENT FINANCING DISTRICT NO. 1-2
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, as follows:
1. This council has this day approved an amended development proqram for
Development District No. 1 (District) and authorized the expansion of the District,
and authorized the City Manager to prepare a tax increment financinq plan (TIF Plan)
for do economic development tax Increment financing district (TIF District) for all
or a portion of the land within the District, all in accordance with Minnesota
Statutes, Chapter 472A and Sections 273.71 to 273.78 (collectively, the Act).
2. Pursuant to the Act this Council shall conduct a public hearing on the
•establishment of the TIF District and the adoption and approval of the TIF Plan at
7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 3, 1985.
3. The City Clerk is authorized and directed to publish notice of the public
hearing In substantially the form attached hereto as Exhibit A once In the official
newspaper not less than ten days prior to June 3, 1985.
4. The City Manager is authorized and directed to transmit draft copies of the
TIF Plan and a copy of Exhibit A to the School Board of Independent School District
No. 284 and to the County Board of Hennepin County for their respective review and
comment.
