HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1985-348CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the20th dad of May 1965. The following members were present: favor Davenport, Councilmenbers Crain, 'leils, Schneider and Vasiliou The following members wire absent: none ,ss Counrilmemb r N ils introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 95- 340 RESOLUTION APPROVING AN EXPANSION OF DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT NO. 1 AND ADOPTING AIJ AMENDED DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM THEREFOR. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, as follows: Section 1. Background. '1.01. The City has heretofore duly established Development District No. 1 (District) pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Cha;;ter 472A (District Act) and approved a development program (Program) for the District. 1.02. The City Manager has presented to this Council a report dated May 20 for the expansion of the District and a proposed amendment to the Program now on file with the Clerk which expansion and amendment are designed to enhance the economic development potential for the District and the area included in the proposed expansion. • 1.03. This Council has this day conducted a public hearing after duly published notice, on the proposed expansion of the District and the amended Program. Section 2. Findings: Approval: Adoption. 2.01. It is found and determined that the amended Program meets the objectives and purposes of the District Act and will enable the City to achieve its economic and transportation development goals for the portion of the City included In the rrri-tded District and for the City as a whole. 2.02. The amended Program is approved. The District is expanded as proposed. 2.03. The City Manager is authorized and directed to take the necessary actions to prepare and submit to this Council a tax increment financing plan for all or a portion off the expanded District. The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by _j:nun_ilmemher Schneider , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following vote— d I favor thereof: Mayor Davenport, Councilmenbers Crain, Heils, Schneid r and Vasiliou :he following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.—
