HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1985-309CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the6th day of May 1985. The following members were present: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers eils, Schneider, Crain and Vasiliou The follow rs were absent: nurse _Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 85- 309 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID PROJECT NO. 427 - SCHMIDT'S GARDENS ADDITION AREA STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of the Schmidt's Gardens Addition area including the installation of watermain, sanitary sewer, sewage lift station and force main, storm sewer and street improvements and all necessary appurtenances; and WHEREAS, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Company Total Bid Latour Construction $289,023.10 Annandale Sewer b Water 298,178.43 Nodland Associates 298,610.40 Burschville Construction 291,069.77 Northdale Construction 301,057.50 Orfei & Sons, Inc. 321,670.07 Austin P. Construction 376,906.25 AND, WHEREAS, it appears that LaTour Construction of Maple Lake, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder in the amount of $289,023.10; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH: 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with LaTour Construction in the name of the City of Plymouth for the construction of Project No. 427, Schmidt's Gardens Addition Area Street and Utility Improvements in the amount of $289.023.10, based on the alternate bid for street construction. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until the contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Vasiliou , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: __Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Neils, Schneider, Crain and Vasiliou The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
