Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 6th day of max1985.
The following members were present: Mayor chDavenport Zouncilmembers a s,

The following members were absent: none
Councilmember Schneider _Introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 85- 304
ENDORSING PETITION BY KEITH AND DIANE HARSTAD TO THE HENNEPIN COUNTY BOARD FOR ALTER-
ATION OF DISTRICT BOUNDARY BETWEEN SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 281 AND SCHOOL DISTRICT NO.
284 IN THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH (84100)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Plymouth has approved a Final Plat for a
Planned Residential Development known as "Kingsview Heights" for Keith and Diane
Harstad; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved a Planned Unit Development Plan and Prelimin-
ary Plat which will be used to guide the final platting of those areas of the "Kings
view Heights Addition" which are now platted as outlots and which are impacted by the
location of the boundary line between Independent School District No. 281 and
Independent School District No. 284; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 122.21 of the Minnesota State Statutes, Keith and Diane
. Harstad have submitted a petition to the Hennepin County Auditor for submittal to the
Hennepin County Board requesting that the boundary be adjusted so that the boundary
can be adjusted so to not divide any single family residential lots to be platted
within the Kingsview Heights 2nd Addition; and,
WHEREAS, the respective Independent School Districts have endorsed the request by
Keith and Diane Harstad to adjust the location of the school district boundary as
described in the petition to the Hennepin County Board;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOL%�D BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the petition by Keith and Diane
Harstad to the Hennepin County Board for an adjustment of the District boundary be-
tween Independent School District No. 281 and Independent School District No. 284
which would assure that no single family lots within the Kingsview Heights Residen-
tial Planned Unit Development are bisected by the boundary;
FURTHER, this petition is supported by the City Council of the City of Plymouth to
assure the development of a cohesive residential neighborhood wherein children may
attend schools within the same District;
FURTHER, the City Council encourages expeditious consideratiin and approval of the
petition in consideration of proposed construction of dwellings for occupancy in
1985.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Vasiliou , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: ayor Davenport, Councilmembers Neils,
Schneider Crain and Vasiliou
