Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Special meeting of the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 22nd day
of April , 1985. The following members were present: Mayor Davenport.
Councilmembers Crain, Neils, Schneider and Vasiliou
The following members were absent: none
Councilmember Crain introduced the following Resol,ition and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 85-280
ORDERING PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED VACATION OF
STREET EASEMENT IN NE 1/4 OF THE SW 1/4 OF SECTION 9, TOWNSHIP 118, RANGE 22
WHEREAS, pursuant to M.S.A. 412.851, Laurent Builders, Inc. have petitioned the
City Council for the vacation of the following street easement:
A perpetual easement for street purposes and for the purpose of construct-
ing and maintaining a turn -around over and across that portion of the
`Iortheast Quarter (NE 1/4) of the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4) of Section 9,
ownship 118, Range 22, described as follows:
Commencing at the Southeast (SE) corner of the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4)
of the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4) of said Section 9, Twp. 118, Range 22;
thence North along a line parallel to the West line of said Northwest
Quarter (NW 1/4) of the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4) of said Section 9 a
. distance of 65 feet to the point of beginning of the land herein described;
thence East, at right angles, along a line parallel to the South line of
said Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) of the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4) of said
Section 9 a distance of 50 feet; thence North, at right angles, along a
line parallel with the West line of said Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) of the
Southwest Querter (SW 1/4) of said Section 9 a distance of 70 feet; thence
West, at right angles, along a line parallel with the South line of said
Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) of the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4) of said
Section 9 a distance of 50 feet; thence South, at right angles along
a line parallel to the West line of said Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) of the
Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4) of said Section 9 a distance of 70 feet to the
point of beginning of the land herein described.
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed said request and found the same to
be in order;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH that it should and hereby does establish the date of May 20, 1985 at
7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Plymouth City Center, 3400 Plymouth Blvd.,
as the time and place for the public hearing on said petition and directs the
administrative staff to publish notice of said hearing as provided by law.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Vasiliou , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
10 following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Davenport, Councilmeribers Crain. Neils,
Schneider and Vasiliou
The following voted against or abstained: none
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
