HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1985-266Pursuant to due call Council of the City April , Councilmembers Schne absent: none CITY OF PLYMOUTH and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 15th day of 1985. The following members were present: Mayor Davenport. ider, Neils, Crain & Vasiliou . The following members were Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO 85- 266 DECLARING ADEQUACY OF PETITION AND ORDEP.TNG PREPARATION OF REPORT STREET LIGHTING - STEEPLECHASE 2ND ADDITION WHEREAS, a petition has been received from Lundgren Bros. Construction, Inc. requesting installation of ornamental residential street lighting in the Steeplechase 2nd Addition; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. A certain petition requesting the improvement of Steeplechase 2nd Addition by the installation of residential ornamental street lighting, filed with the City Council on April 15, 1985, is hereby declared to be signed by the required percentage of owners of property affected thereby. This declara- tion is made in conformance to Minnesota Statutes Section 429.035. 2. The petition is signed by 100% of the affected property owners and they have waived their rights to public improvement and special assessment hearings. 3. The petition is hereby referred to the City Engineer and he is instructed to report to the Council with all convenient speed advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement is feasible and as to whether it should best be made as proposed or in conjunction with some other improvement and the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Schneider, Neils, Crain and Vasiliou The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
