HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1985-233CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 1st day Of-- ADril , 1985. The following members were present: nPpijtyMayor Schneider. Councilmembers Crain, Neils and Vasl lou The following members were absent: Cnunrilm mb r Crain introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 85- 233 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID PROJECT NO. 426 - CARLSON CENTER THIRD ADDITION AND ADJACENT Ai.EA STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of Carlson Center Third Addition and the adjacent streets of Zinnia Lane, Berkshire Lane and County Roads 15 by the installation of 7 ton bituminous street with concrete curb and gutter, drainage facilities, sanitary sewer, watermain and all necessary appurtenances, bids were receiv,d, opened and tabulated according to the law and the following bids were received complying with the advertise- ment: Company Total Bid Bury & Carlson, Inc. $353,818.07 C.S. McCrossan, Inc. 354,895.12 Alexander Construction Co. 355,277.32 Orfei & Sons, Inc. 355,534.51 Hennen Construction Cc. 359,898.20 Nodland Associates, Inc. 364,852.95 Northdale Construction, Inc. 369,118.80 Progressive Contractors, Inc. 373,416.50 Northwest Asphalt, Inc. 391,754.21 Barbarossa & Sons, Inc. 387,370.00 Buesing Brothers, Inc. 414,884.08 G.L. Contracting, Inc. 431,931.06 AND, WHEREAS, it appears that Bury & Carlson of Minneapolis, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH: 1. The bids are hereby received and placed on file until such time that the City Council has held the assessment hearing for said public improvements scheduled for April 22, 1985; with the award of contract to be consideree at the June 3, 1985 City Council meeting. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until the contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by rn,10r_ilmamhPr Vasiliou , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Deputy Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers ruin- Nail-, and VaSilin" The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolutinn was declared duly passed and adopted.
