HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1985-225CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 1St day of April , 1985. The following members were present: Deputy Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain, Neils and Vasiliou The following members were absent: Mayor Davenport Councilmember Crain introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 85-225 TRAFFIC COUNTYING PROGRAM MUNICIPAL STATE AID STREETS WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has cooperated with the Minnesota Department of Transportation in conducting a traffic counting program in the metropolitan area; and WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has been requested by the Minnesota Department of Transportation to again participate in this traffic counting program in the 1984-85 counting cycle by conducting traffic counts on our municipal state aid streets; and WHEREAS, this traffic counting program is a benefit to the City of Plymouth by having current traffic counts within the City; and • WHEREAS, proposals have consultants to conduct a requirements; been received from the City's retained engineering traffic counting program in accordance with Mn DOT NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The City will participate in the traffic counting program in accordance with the request by Mn DOT. 2. Strgar-Roscoe-Fausch, Inc. is designated as the consulting engineer to perform the traffic counting in accordance with their proposal dated March 19, 1985. 3. The City Engineer is directed to coordinate the work between the consulting engineer and Mn DOT. 4. That $1680 be allocated from the Municipal State Aid Fund for the cost of the traffic counting program. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Vasiliou , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Deputy Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Crain.
