Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special Feting of the City Council of
the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 25th day of Februar, • 19$5.
The following members were present: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Schneider,
Crain and Vasiliou
The following members were absent: Councilmember Neils
Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 85- 133
APPROVAL OF COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT - THOROUGHFARE GUIDE PLAN ELEMENT FOR THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has requested approval of an Amendment to the. Comprehen-
sive Plan - Thoroughfare Guide Plan Element, to delete a portion of West Medicine Lake
Drive from the Functional Classification of Major Collector Roadway from County Road 47
south to County Road 61; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has considered the request following a duly scheduled
Public Hearing and has recommended approval; and,
WHEREAS, this Amendment by the City is to amend the Thoroughfare Guide Plan Map to re-
flect the change in status of West Medicine Lake Drive, deleting a portion (County Road
' 47 south to County Road 61) from the Major Collector Functional Classification.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MIN-
NESOTA, that it should and hereby does apF ove the Amendment to the Comprehensive Plan
- Thoroughfare Guide Plan Element subject to the following:
1. The Amendment is based upon the findings that a Major Collector Roadway is not
needed in this area; and the proposal would not adversely impact the City's trans-
portation systems. Approval is contingent upon, and subject to the required re-
view and response by the Metropolitan Council.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Vasiliou , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Davenport. Councilmembers Schneider,
Crain and Vasi110u
The following voted against or abstained: none
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
