Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 4th day of February . 1985.
The following members were present: Deputy Mayor Schneider, Councilmembers Neils,
Vasillou, and Crain
The following members were absent: Mayor Davenport
Councilme■ber Vasiliou introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 85-120
DECLARING FINDING OF NO NEED FOR AN ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT (EIS) BASED UPON THE
REVIEW G:= THE ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT WORKSHEET (EAW) DATED DECEMBER 7, 1984 rOR
SCHERER INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT PROPOSED BY SCHERER BROTHERS LUMBER COMPANY (84045)
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the Preliminary Plat for Scherer Industrial
Development by Resolution No. 84-512 on August 6, 1984; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Environmental Quality Board (EQB) Rule No. 6 MCAR
S -3.038-M1-02, the Environmental Review Process, the City of Plymouth as the
responsible governmental unit, submitted an Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW)
. for the development on December 7, 1984; and,
WHEREAS, the 30 -day review comment period expired on January 16, 1985, and all comments
and recommendations received from reviewing agencies and other interested parties have
been considered; and,
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the proposed development does not present a
potential for significant environmental effects;
NOW, THEREFORE, 3E IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does make a negative declaration on the need for
an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the proposed development known as Scherer
Industrial Development for Scherer Brothers Lumber Company.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Crain , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted In favor thereof: Deputy Mayor Schneider, Cni,nrilmpmherc rrai,n.
Neils and Vasiliou
The following voted against or abstained: None
