Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 7th day

The following members were absent: None
Councilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 85- 31
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF SIX 1985 MODEL POLICE PATROL VEHICLES
WHEREAS, the 1984 Central Equipment Budget contemplates the purchase of six
police patrol vehicles; and
WHEREAS, on November 13, 1984 pursuant to State Statute, the Hennepin County
Cooperative Purchasing Group received and publicly read aloud sealed bids for
the purchase of mid and full size police patrol vehicles under Hennepin County
Contract No. 5513; and
WHEREAS, the Hennepin County Board, upon recommendation of the County
Purchasing Manager, has awarded this bid to the lowest responsible bidder, Elk
River Ford -Mercury, Inc.;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH that it should and hereby does authorize the purchase of six police
full size patrol vehicles from Elk River Ford -Mercury, Inc. under the condi-
tions and specifications of Hennepin County Contract No. 5513.
FURTHER, that the City Manager is hereby authorized to issue a purchase order
in an amount not to exceed $68,436.00 from Account No. 602-531-911 for the
purchase of these vehicles.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
' Councilmember Schneider , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Crain,
Neils, Schneider and Vasiliou ,
The following voted against or abstained:
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly
