Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on t—T��rd - day of December 1984,
The following members were _present: Mayor Davenport•;—ounci TRiembers Crain,
Neils and Schneider.
The following rs were absent: None
Councilmember Crain introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 84-866
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE INITIATION OF A DISEASE TREE REPLACEMENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, in a memorandum dated November 30, 1984 the Park and Recreation Director has
described a program which would initiate a tree giveaway program to replace private
residential trees lost as a result of dutch elm and oak wilt diseases; and
WHEREAS, the Director has set forth guidelines in his memorandum and estimated total
program costs not to exceed $12,500; and
. WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of promoting reforestation of the community
required because of shade tree disease losses;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Plymouth,
that it should and hereby does authorize the establishment of a Disease Tree Replace-
ment Program as outlined in the Park and Recreation Director's November 30, 1984
memorandum and that the costs for such program shall be drawn from the reforestation
account of the forestry budget.
