HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1984-814CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular mating of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 191h day of November , 1984. The following members were present: Nsvor DaVenaort, _ounc_ mem_F-S eilS. Moen and Crain , The following members were absent: Mayor Davenport introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. e4-814 ADOPTING ASSESSMENT - PROJECT 110. 508 SANITARY SEWER AND WATERMAIN AREA - PARR PLACE WHEREAS, in conformance with the development contract we have received a waiver of assessment hearing from the property owner of Park Place waiving their right to special assessment hearings covering the installation of sanitary sewer and water trunk facilities and all other appurtenances; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIM CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. Such proposed assessment, a copy of which is attached bereto and made a part hereof, is hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against the lands named therein and each tract of laud herein included is ,hereby bound to be benefited by the proposed improvement in the amount of the assessment levied against it. 2. Such assessment shall be payable in equal annual installments extending over a period of 5 years, the first of the installeente to be payable an or before the first Monday in January 1986 and shall bear interest at the rate of 9.172 per annum from the date of adoption of this assessment resolution. ,To the first installment shall be added interest on the entire assessment from the date of this resolution until December 31, 1986. To each subse- quent installment when due shall be added interest of one year on all unpaid installments. 3. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certifica- tion of the assessment to the County Finance Director, pay, the whale of the assessment on such property with interest accrued to the date of payment to the City Treasurer, except that no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid within thirty days from the adoption of this resolution; and he may, at any time thereafter, pay to the City Finance Director the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid with interest accrued to December 31 of the year in which the payment is Sade. 4. The Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this sessesnwnt to the County Finance Director to be extended on the proper tax lists of the County and such assessments shall be collected and paid oyer is the sass manner as other municipal taxes. 5. The total cost of the improvement assessed by this resolution 1*6419,611.40. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded Councilmember Moen , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof Mayor Davenport, CouncilxoNers 1%089 lkils and Crain .
