Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 19th day
of November , 1984. The following members were present: ay'or Davenport,
Councilmembers Neils. Moen and Crain

Councilmember Moen introduced the following Resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 84- 810
AUTHORIZING THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF 14TH AVENUE NORTH IN
REGISTERED LAND SURVEY NO. 743 AND A PORTION OF SYCAMORE LANE SOUTH OF
15TH AVENUE IN REGISTERED LAND SURVEY NO. 743
WHEREAS, a petition to vacate a portion of 14th Avenue North in Registered Land
Survey No. 743 and a portion of Sycamore Lane south of 15th Avenue in
Registered Land survey No. 743 was received by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the public hearing with respect to said vacation was held on
November 19, 1984 in accordance with Minnesota Statutes 412.851, as amended;
and
WHEREAS, a notice of publication of said hearing was published and posted two
weeks prior to the meeting of November 19, 1984; and
WHEREAS, the Council did hold a public hearing on November 19, 1984 to inform
any and all interested parties relevant to the vacation of said 14th Avenue and
said Sycamore Lane; and
WHEREAS, it was determined by the City Council that said 14th Avenue North and
said Sycamore Lane as described below are not needed for a public street;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the following described streets are hereby vacated:
1. Sycamore Lane described as follows: That part of Tract M, Registered Land
Survey No. 743, files of the Registrar of Titles in and for Hennepin
County, Minnesota, lying West of a line drawn parallel with and distant
145.00 feet East of the West line of said Registered Land Survey No. 743.
2. 14th Avenue North described as follows: That part of Tract M, Registered
Land Survey No. 743, files of the Registrar of Titles in and for Hennepin
County, Minnesota lying East of a line drawn parallel with and distant
195.00 feet East of the West line of said Registered Land Survey No. 743
and lying West of the following described line: Beginning at a point on
the South line of Tract J, said Registered Land Survey No. 743 distant
128.20 feet East of the Southwest corner thereof; thence Southwesterly on a
circular curve concave to the East having a radius of 50.00 feet, a delta
angle of 93° 30' 48", a chord bearing of South 34° 32' 47" West for a
distance of 81.61 feet to the South line of said Tract M and there
terminate. For the purpose of this description, the South line of Tract J
is assumed to bear East.

3. That said vacation shall not affect the authority of any person, corpora-
tion or municipality owning or controlling the electric or telephone poles
and lines, gas and sewer lines, or water lines, mains and hydrants thereon
or thereunder, to continue maintaining the same, or to enter upon such way
or portion thereof vacated to repair, replace, remove or otherwise attend
thereto.
4. That the City of Plymouth reserves easement rights for utility purpose over
and across said vacated street.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Crain , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Neils, Moen
and Crain
The following voted against or abstained: none
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
