HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1984-771CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 22nd day of October , 1984. The following members were present7-ay—o-F Davenport, Counci mem ers Moen, Neils, Schneider and Crain The o lowing members were absent: none Councilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 84- 771 RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF REPORT NIAGARA LANE - HIGHWAY 55 TO COUNTY ROAD 6 PROJECT 509 WHEREAS, the adopted 1985 Capital Improvements Program proposed the instal- lation of sanitary sewer, storm sewer, watermain, concrete curb and gutter, asphalt road all necessary appurtenances on Niagara Lane from Highway 55 to County Road 6 (the street improvement to be a 52 foot wide, 9 ton street with necessary turn lanes at intersections); and WHEREAS, the property benefited by such projects will be assessed for all or a portion of the cost of such improvements pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 429.011 to 429.111 (Laws 1953 Chapter 398, as amended); NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the proposed improvements be referred to Strgar- Roscoe, Inc. for study and that the engineers be instructed to report to the City Council with all convenient speed by advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether a proposed improvement is feasible and as to whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with some other improvement, and the estimated costs of such an improvement as recommended. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Moen , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Davenport, Counrilmembers Moen, Neils, and Crain .
