HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1984-763Cm OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 22nd day of October . 1964. The following members were Present: Mayor Davenport, �ouncilmembers oen, ei s, Schneider and Crain The following rs were t: none Councilmember Crain introduced the following -Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 84- 763 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION OF A METROPOLITAN TRANSIT DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM APPLICATION FOR THE PERIOD APRIL 1, 1985 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 1985 WHEREAS, the Plymouth Metropolitan Transit Demonstration Program, commonly known as Plymouth Metrolink, has operated during calendar year 1984; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the policy options available to it and concluded that the continuation of Plymouth Metrolink is the most appropriate course of action for 1985; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Plymouth that it should and hereby does authorize the preparation and submission of the Metropolitan Transit Demonstration Program application for the continuation of Plymouth Metrolink from April 1, 1985 through December 31, 1985; and FURTHER, said application shall be prepared in a fashion to allow for program expansion if ridership figures justify such action; and FURTHER, that during the course of 1985 the ridership levels will be monitored on each route and time to determine whether routes or times can be consolidated, eliminated or reduced to create greater efficiency between ridership statistics and operating costs.
