HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1984-743CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof,, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 15th day of October , 1984, The following members were present: ay07ayenport, Councilmembers Moen, Neils, Schneider and Crain The following members were absent: none Councilmember Moen introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 84- 743 ORDERING PREPARATION OF PRELIMINARY REPORT SCHERER INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT - STREET AND UTILITIES PROJECT NO. 503 WHEREAS, the developer of proposed Scherer Developoment Industrial Addition has petitioned the City to install a 9 ton bituminous street with concrete curb and gutter, drainage facilities and sanitary sewer and watermain and all necessary appurtenances on proposed 53rd Avenue north from the County Road 18 frontage road to proposed Nathan Lane, and on proposed Nathan Lane from proposed 53rd Avenue north to the north property line of Scherer Industrial Development (south line of Bass Lake Plaza Addition); and Rosewood Corporation has petitioned the City for watermain on County Road 18 frontage road; and WHEREAS, the property benefited by such projects will be assessed for all or a portion of the cost of such improvements pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 429.011 to 429.111 (Laws 1953 Chapter 398, as amended); and WHEREAS, the developer has waived his rights to a public improvement hearing 0 and special assessment hearings on this improvement; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the proposed improvements be referred to Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik 6 Associates for study and that the engineers be instructed to report to the City Council with all convenient speed by advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether a proposed improvement is feasible and as to whether it should best be made as prot.osed or in connection with some other improvement, and the estimar2d costs of such an improvement as recommended. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Schneider , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Moen, Neils, Schneider and Crain The following voted against or abstained:. none Whereupon the Resolution war declared duly passed and adopted,
