HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1984-683CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Ci. Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 1st day of October , 1984. The following members were present: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Reils, Schneider and Crain The following members were absent: Councilmember Moen Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 84- 683 ADOPTING ASSESSMENT 1984 DELINQUENT SANITARY SEWER SERVICE CHARGES, WATER SERVICE CHARGES AND STREET LIGHT CHARGES WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the Council has met and heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessments for delinquent water and sanitary sewer service charges as provided for by the City Ordinances and has amended such proposed assessment as it deems just; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED B4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. S. -a -ch proposed assessment, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, is hereby acceptei and shall constitute the special assessment against the lands named therein and each tract of land herein included is hereby bound to be benefited.�y the proposed improvement in the amount of the assessment levied against it. 2. Such assessment shall be payable in equal annual installments extending over a period of 1 year, the first of the installments to be payable on or 10 before the first Monday in January 1985 and shall bear interest at the rate of 9.17% per annum from the date of adoption of this assessment resolution. To the first installment shall be added interest on the entire assessment from the date of this resolution until December 31, 1985. To each subsequent installment when due shall be added interest of one year on all unpaid installments. 3. The owner of any property so assessed may, aL any time prior to certifica- tion of the assessment to the County Finance Director, pay the whole of the assessment on such property with interest accrued to the date of payment to the City Treasurer, except that no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid within thirty days from the adoption of this resolution; and he may, at any time thereafter, pay to the City Finance Director the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid with interest accrued to December 31 of the year in which the payment is made. 4. The Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to the County Finance Director to be extended on the proper tax lists of the County and such assessments shall be collected and paid over in the same manner as other municipal taxes. 5. The total cost of the improvement assessed by this resolution is $82,504.02 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded Councilmember Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Neils, Schneider and Crain The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
