HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1984-664CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 17th day . of September , 1984. The following members were present: Mayor Davenport, Councilmerbers Moen, Neils, Schneider and Crain The follow ng members were absent: none Councilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 84- 664 REQUEST FOR PAYMENT NO. 5 AND FINAL PROJECT NO. 231 AND 304 6TH AVENUE/HUMPHRBY ESTATES AND 41ST AVENUE WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth as owner and Jerome Begin Contracting Company as contractor have entered into an agreement for Projects 231 and 304, said agreement being dated August 29, 1984; and WHEREAS, the engineer has certified his acceptance of the work and his approval of the final request for payment; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLMOUTH: 1. That the original contract amount was $623,240.70, four change orders in the amount of $25,172.65 were approved, and the value . of the work to date is $680,903.51. 2. That the work performed by the contractor for Projects 231 and 304 and certified to the Council by the engineer as acceptable be and the same is hereby released from the contract except as to the conditions of the performance bond, any and all legal rights of the own( required guarantees and corrections of faulty work after final payment. 3. Request for Payment No. 5 and Final in the amount of $10,090.13 to Jerome Begin Contracting Company for Projects 231 and 304 is hereby approved and the City Finance Director is hereby authorized and directed to pay the same forthwith. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Schneider and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Davenport. Councilmembers Moen, Neils, Schneider and Crain The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared *duly passed and adopted.
