Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 17th day
of September , 1984. The following members were present: Mayor Davenport,
Councilmembers Moen. Neils. Schneider and Crain
The tollowing members were absent: none
Councilmember Moen introduced the following Resolution and moved
its adoption:

RESOLUTION NO. 84- 634
AUTHORIZING THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF THE CUL-DE-SAC ON
QUAKER LANE PLATTED AS PART OF RIDGECREST ADDITION
WHEREAS, the petition to vacate a portion of the cul-de-sac ons Quaker Lane
platted as part of Ridgecrest Addition was received by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing with respect to said vacation was held on September
17, 1984 in accordance with Minnesota Statutes 412.851, as amended; and
WHEREAS, a notice of publication of said hearing was published and posted two
weeks prior to the meeting of September 17, 1984; and
WHEREAS, the Council did hold a public hearing on September 17, 1984 to inform
any and all interested parties relevant to the vacation of said Quaker Lane;
and
0 WHEREAS, it was determined by the City Council that a portion of Quaker Lane is
not needed for a public street;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA as follows:
1. That the following portion of Quaker Lane be vacated as public
roadway:
That part of the Quaker Lane as dedicated in the plat of Ridgecrest
Addition lying southeasterly of the following described line:
Beginning at the most westerly corner of Lot 1, Block 1, Ridgecrest
Addition; thence South 22 degrees 25 minutes 25 seconds West 148.00
feet to the curve pjint in the westerly line of Lot 2, said Block 1
and there terminate
For the purpose of this description, the north line of said Lot 1 is
assumed to bear West
According to the plat thereof on file and of record in the office of
the County Recorder in and for Hennepin County, Minnesota.
2. That said vacation shall not affect the authority of any person,
corporation or municipality owning or controlling the electric or
telephone poles and lines, gas and sewer lines, or water pipes,
mains and hydrants thereon or thereunder, to continue maintaining
the same, to enter upon such way or portion thereof vacated to repair,
replace, remove otherwise attend thereto.

• 3. That the City of Plymouth reserves easement rights for utility
purposes over, under and across said vacated street.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Counciimember Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
10 following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Moen,
Neils, Schneider and Crain
The following voted against or abstained: none
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
