HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1984-629CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 4th day t of September , 1984. The following members were presen: ayor Davenport, . Councilmembers Neils, Schneider and Crain The following members were absent: Councilmember Moen COuncilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 84- 629 RESOLUTION CALLING FOR HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT 1984 REMOVAL AND DESTRUCTION OF DISEASED TREES WHEREAS, by a resolution passed by the Council on September 4, 1984 the City Clerk was directed to prepare a proposed assessment for certain charges for removal and destruction of diseased trees on certain lands within the iity as provided by law; and WHEREAS, the Clerk has notified the Council that such proposed assessment has been completed and filed in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. A hearing shall be held on the lat day of October 1984 in the City Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota at 7:30 p.mv to pass upon such proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessment. 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing, and shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. The Clerk shall also cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each pArcel described in the assessment roll. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by CounLilmember Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Neils, Schneider and Crain The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
